Mission
Join a leading aerospace manufacturing environment in Wichita, KS supporting high-volume aircraft production programs. We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Quality Inspector / Fabrication & Assembly Inspector to perform detailed verification of airframe structures, assemblies, and related components.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, inspection manuals, specifications, and work instructions
- Use precision measuring instruments, inspection tools, and specialized equipment to verify part conformity
- Apply knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and manufacturing specifications
- Perform in-process and final inspections to accept or reject parts, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
- Verify calibration and qualification status of tools and equipment prior to use
- Prepare, maintain, and complete accurate quality records and inspection documentation
- Support compliance with production processes and aerospace quality standards
- Work across equivalent or lower-level inspector job codes as required
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with production, engineering, and quality teams
- Utilize computer systems for documentation, reporting, and quality tracking (including SAP and MS Office)
- Maintain required certifications throughout assignment duration
- Follow all inspection procedures and safety requirements in a production environment
Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace airframe assembly inspection
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Experience with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), policies, and procedures
- Experience writing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) or quality tags
- Proficiency with MS Office and SAP systems
- Able to obtain and maintain all required training certifications
- Must be available to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift).
- Willingness to work extended overtime periods as required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured inspection processes
- Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass required QA certification exams
