Responsibilities
- Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”

- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Positions workpiece: sets, stops, and guides piece according to specifications.
- Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Identifies safety hazards and takes corrective action to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Cleans up material and debris after completing each job.
- Works well with peers and supervision.
- Performs all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
Requirements
- Ability to operate 3 out of 5 small pieces of equipment with minimum supervision and minimal errors:
- All Saws
- Small Press Brake
- Iron Workers
- Shears
- Manual/Torch Bevel Machines
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Legible printing/handwriting skills; ability to read a tape measure.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination; ability to maintain balance.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
- Use of hand tools such as hammers, knives, or wrenches.
- Visual ability to include color vision and depth perception.
- Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Perform all duties while wearing protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety-toed boots, hard hat, and gloves.
- Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures.
- May require working a rotational schedule, including evening or night shifts.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within company-designated drug consortium.
