Full-time position starting through a staffing agency with direct hire opportunity at Marvel after eligible hours worked. Join a team focused on designing high-quality products from prototype to production at Marvel Refrigeration, a manufacturer of American-crafted undercounter refrigeration and ice products since 1892.
Pay
Starting at $20.00 per hour.
- 2nd Shift includes a shift premium.
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
- General workdays: Monday through Thursday
- Overtime as required (Friday & Saturday if needed)
About the role
This position requires an experienced, energetic, and detail-focused individual to join a growing team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be hands-on in the early stages of all manufactured products while maintaining high quality for our brands.
Responsibilities
- Select proper program and load required tooling.
- Select proper material and tooling needed; install tooling to specification.
- Set up and run complex bend and forming operations on a Press Brake.
- Select proper program and adjust Laser head(s) for proper cutting.
- Select proper material from part program.
- Inspect parts against drawing specifications.
- Complete production and related records as required.
- Work efficiently and timely.
- Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic mathematical computations for production records and tape measure use.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, tape measures, calipers, and work instructions.
- Experience using standard hand tools, including air-powered hand grinders.
- Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for up to 3 hours without a break and 12 hours with breaks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from ground level to chest height, push/pull up to 100 pounds, and handle large quantities of component parts repetitively.
- Ability to bend, sit, and stand repeatedly.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
- Demonstrated hand-eye coordination for high-volume repetitive assembly operations.
- Willingness to work shifts and hours mandated by management.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
