About the role
Ensure product conformity and safety by performing incoming and final inspections across manufacturing and assembly operations. Your work directly supports production teams, quality assurance, and customers by identifying defects, maintaining records, and preparing regulatory documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of products, materials, and components at various production stages to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Perform visual inspections of soldered connections and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
- Inspect soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards and inspect harness assemblies
- Prepare and complete documentation reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected or tested items
- Create and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with AS9102
- Perform customer source inspections and issue Authorized Release Certificates/Tags
- Maintain inspection records, calibration recall, and related documentation
- Gather statistical data from products and processes and report quality concerns or inefficiencies
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may work variable schedules including nights and weekends as needed
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant inspection experience (Aerospace and Electronics environments preferred)
- Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection Report requirements
- Experience with visual and mechanical inspection techniques and use of measuring equipment
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, and wiring diagrams
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
- Proficient computer skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision
- Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and perform required physical tasks of the role
Skills
Vocational training or apprenticeships in a related field may be beneficial. Prior experience in aerospace or electronics manufacturing environments is preferred.
Pay
$18.40 - $23.00/hour
Schedule
Onsite role on 1st shift (8-hour shift).
