About the role
The role is located at Pratt & Whitney Military Engines F135 Fleet Operations in Fort Worth, Texas. It involves performing tasks to ensure the quality standards of F-135 engine overhaul and repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform work necessary to meet engine production requirements and quality standards.
- Build, repair, and inspect Pratt and Whitney F135 gas turbine engines.
- Coordinate with Technical Leads, Immediate Supervisor, and Site Manager for maintenance information.
- Interface and engage with various functions like Quality, Local FSE's, BEM's, Customers, DCMA, JPO, LM to resolve issues and ensure timely product delivery.
- Work with Field Service Engineering to improve engine building and repair processes.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in diverse environments.
- Ensure accuracy in work performed and possess a thorough understanding of gas turbine engines.
- Perform tasks involving maintenance platforms, ascending/descending maintenance stands, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing inspections and maintenance underneath engine rails and inside exhaust ducts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Currently hold or be eligible to obtain a valid U.S. Passport for international travel.
- Proficient with computers and software programs (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Aerospace Maintenance field.
- 1+ years of experience in tear-down, build-up, and inspection of jet engines.
- Military Aerospace Maintenance experience (F135/F119/F100).
- Borescope/Boroblend experience, familiarity with Engine shop maintenance operations, knowledge of non-powered Aerospace Ground Equipment.
- Depot-Level (D-Level) or Intermediate level (I-level) maintenance experience is preferred.
- Airframe and Power plant license or equivalent experience is preferred.
