Summary

Aid the Food & Beverage Management team in overseeing the performance of assigned staff. Ensure all Food & Beverage outlets operate efficiently and effectively. Guarantee guests receive top-tier ACES service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department.
  • Support and administer operational goals, monitor performance and profit objectives.
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager on scheduling concerns, prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  • Support compliance with departmental budgets.
  • Actively promote and demonstrate superior customer service in line with department and company standards and programs.
  • Ensure customer service standards are upheld by all team members and address issues promptly.
  • Maintain cost control methods and procedures by monitoring par levels and inventory.
  • Maintain and develop procedures for food service and inspect menu items for maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Follow established quality assurance procedures to ensure health department and customer service standards are met.
  • Respond to guest needs and report problems to Manager.
  • Assist Manager with administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to relay pertinent information on assigned shift.
  • Assist in cleaning and resetting F&B Outlet as necessary during assigned shift.
  • Monitor food/beverage quality and communicate deviations from established standards.
  • Encourage, reinforce, and support peers and team members through cross-training.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Communicate positively and utilize ACES Training skills with every patron and colleague.
  • Operate safely and report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
  • May be required to work at the Lawrenceburg Event Center (LEC).
  • Perform any reasonable, temporary job duties outside the position’s job description, as needed for efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage work procedures and expedite workflow.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to team members.

Qualifications

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook programs.
  • Knowledge of kitchen/restaurant sanitation, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • High School Diploma or GED; or two years previous customer service experience; or combination of education and experience.
  • Five years’ experience in Food & Beverage preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage desired, but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Team member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Physical demands: Regularly stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, walk, or hear. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, sitting, lifting and moving up to 100 pounds.
  • Work environment: Noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. Team member will be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second-hand smoke. Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two years previous customer service experience.
  • Combination of education and experience.
  • Five years’ experience in Food & Beverage preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage desired, but not required.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability

  • Should be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, walk, or hear.
