F&B Cashier - Part Time

About the role

The F&B Cashier at Oak Grove Racing Gaming Hotel ensures consistent quality products and handles all cash transactions. They greet guests, prepare and sell food items, and maintain the cleanliness of the work area.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests
• Greet guests approaching the service area
• Prepare and sell all food items on the menu and handle cash transactions
• Clean and sanitize all food service equipment used to prepare and serve the menu items
• Maintain current knowledge of daily menus and prices
• Ensure proper stock of product and supplies needed for service
• Open and close inventories
• Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests
• Perform clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment
• Stand for 8-10 hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of concession stand operations
• Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel
• Treat internal and external guests in a manner to ensure complete satisfaction
• Able to operate all equipment in the stand
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
• Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing
• Lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred customer service or food & beverage experience
