About the role

Amentum is immediately hiring a qualified F/A-18 O-level Supply Technician in support of U.S. Navy Aviation maintenance operations at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Account/inventory, receive, store and distribute all assigned MetCal equipment related to organizational level maintenance.
  • Work independently in the performance of complex and varied duties.
  • Work within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines.
  • Contact representatives of commercial firms to obtain information on new items of supply or representatives of government agencies regarding the utilization of property.
  • Verify materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
  • Perform miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
  • Work in a shop environment, aircraft hangars and flight line with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, disagreeable fumes, and hazards of moving vehicles such as forklifts, sweepers, tow tractors, and aircraft.
  • Work in high noise level areas, requiring hearing protection.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform all other positions related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Three (3) years of Naval Aviation material and Supply System experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Naval supply system procurement, inventory, tracking, and reporting requirement.
  • Four years’ experience as a logistic specialist as an Aviation Supply Technician.
  • Successfully completed Support Equipment (SE) Asset Manager Certification Course (D-555-0026) and possess NEC 9590.
  • Knowledge of the Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) and the Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL).
  • Knowledge of governing supply systems/programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Secret Clearance Required.

Qualifications

  • Prior F/A-18 O-Level Experience Highly Preferred.
  • Tool Control Coordinator experienced preferred.
  • Experience in the following systems: METCAL, IMRL, LAMS, OOMA, NALCOMIS, FEDLOG.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $32.77 per hour. Plus $7.80 per hour, up to 40 hours per week, for Health & Welfare.
