Amentum is hiring a F/A-18 O-level Supply Technician to support U.S. Navy Aviation maintenance operations at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA.
Responsibilities
- Account, inventory, receive, store, and distribute all assigned MetCal equipment related to organizational level maintenance.
- Manage all facets of the METCAL program, working independently on complex and varied duties.
- Operate within established supply regulations, policies, and procedures or other governing supply management guidelines.
- Contact representatives of commercial firms or government agencies to obtain supply information or discuss property utilization.
- Verify materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages.
- Operate hand or power trucks for warehousing duties.
- Perform quality assurance duties, including inspections, inventory process checks, and examining materials.
- Work in shop environments, aircraft hangars, and flight lines with exposure to extreme weather, fumes, and hazards from moving vehicles (e.g., forklifts, sweepers, tow tractors, aircraft).
- Work in high-noise areas requiring hearing protection.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of Naval Aviation material and Supply System experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Naval supply system procurement, inventory, tracking, and reporting requirements.
- Four years of experience as a logistic specialist as an Aviation Supply Technician.
- Successfully completed Support Equipment (SE) Asset Manager Certification Course (D-555-0026) and possess NEC 9590 (verified by DD form 214).
- Knowledge of the Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) and the Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL).
- Knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, and procedures.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization (U.S. citizenship required).
- Pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check and favorable fingerprints in e-QIP.
- May be required to complete a SF-85/86 in e-QIP to maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior F/A-18 O-Level experience.
- Tool Control Coordinator experience.
- Experience with METCAL, IMRL, LAMS, OOMA, NALCOMIS, or FEDLOG systems.
Work Environment
- Typical warehouse environment with frequent lifting (20–60 pounds), kneeling, standing, walking, and routinely sitting.
- Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication and mental alertness.
- Must possess planning/organizing skills and work under deadlines.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $32.77 per hour, plus $7.80 per hour (up to 40 hours per week) for Health & Welfare.
