About the role

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-18 Maintenance Control to support the F-18 program at Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Responsibilities

• Leads, plans, organizes and controls the maintenance and repairs and the release of F-18 aircraft.
• Supervises and coordinates maintenance efforts on assigned shift to meet the daily flight schedule.
• Serves as subject matter expert to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on matters pertaining to policies, plans and objectives.
• Inspects all aircraft assigned, certifies Aircraft/Engine Logbook entries, and coordinates maintenance control responsibilities.
• Prioritizes workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
• Inspects the aircraft to certify that all maintenance performed by the team is correct and complete.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts and travel for detachments.

Requirements

• Must currently hold and maintain “Safe for Flight” certification.
• O-level experience as a maintenance control supervisor for F-18.
• Thorough working knowledge of the Naval Aviation Logistic Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS).
• Good communication skills both orally and written.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance.
• F-18 experience is required, with experience as a CDQAR/CDI qualification and leadership.
• Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person” (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required; interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start).
• This position is for 1st shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with recent aircraft organizational level maintenance.
• Ability to read, interpret and use manufacturers and aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, wiring/schematic diagrams, data tables and other specifications to determine feasibility and method to repair or replace malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Fighter structural modification experience.
• Fighter electrical modification experience.

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $83,300 - $112,700.
