Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with patients while delivering excellent medical support
  • Affix to select frames, considering style, color, and facial measurements
  • Operate lensometry equipment to measure lenses
  • Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames tailored to patient requirements
  • Accurately collect measurements such as pupillary distance and frame fit
  • Dispense patient orders, perform repairs, and adjust frames
  • Maintain inventory, organize display areas, and follow policies
  • Perform general office duties and assist with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to interpret insurance forms and technical documents
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • High school diploma or GED required; experience in customer service preferred
  • Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications are preferred or to be obtained within two years
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Physical & Technical Skills

  • Must perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching
  • Lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Possess fine motor skills
  • Have excellent visual and auditory acuity
  • Be capable of operating technology and performing occasional driving or climbing tasks
