About the role
The Eye Care Educator at Syneos Health is responsible for educating and inspiring Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) on the critical role they play in caring for cancer patients with Relapsed refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) through necessary eye exams. This role focuses on training and empowering ECPs to effectively conduct eye examinations and communicate results to patients and Hem/Oncology teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Empower: Educate ECPs on essential eye exams for patients and offer clear, actionable guidance for communicating results to patients and Hem/Oncology teams.
- Impactful Training: Deliver tailored educational materials that equip HCPs with a thorough understanding of critical patient care procedures.
- Collaborate for Clarity: Partner with Oncology Account Managers and the Medical team to ensure seamless communication of product-related information, including REMS details, in alignment with FDA guidance.
- Support Care Coordination as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree: A 4-year BA/BS degree is required.
- Experience: 3+ years in optometry, ophthalmology, or nursing, with a focus on oncology or specialized medical education; alternatively, 1–3 years of direct clinical oncology experience, including oncology education, patient care, and interaction with physicians.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain complex oncology concepts to ECPs and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborative Expertise: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Training Skills: Skilled in developing and delivering product-specific training and educational materials.
- Education: Advanced written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively across all levels of management and departments.
Desired Requirements
- Specialty pharmacy/payer experience is preferred.
- CRN, NPs, PAs with eye care experience is highly preferred.
