About the role
As a Director with the EY-Parthenon – Deals – Financial Diligence – Buy Side practice, you'll be involved in managing and executing financial diligence project work. You'll analyze financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold, assist clients in preparing SEC filings, and identify negotiation factors for purchase price and deal structuring. You'll also help develop staff and seniors, ensuring their career development.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management.
- Aid clients in the preparation of SEC filings.
- Identify negotiation factors for purchase price and deal structuring.
- Assist in understanding the client's business profit drivers and trends, as well as challenging assumptions of future performance and assisting with purchase agreements and post-closing transaction matters.
- Work in a team environment with financial due diligence professionals on a variety of projects across different sectors.
- Provide insights and recommendations around key financial and business issues in a transaction.
- Help develop staff and seniors, ensuring their career development.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience.
- Significant public accounting experience.
- Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.

What We Offer
- A comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.
- The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $120,400 to $220,700.
- The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $144,500 to $250,900.
- Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
