Primary Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate extrusion machines according to job specifications and safety standards
- Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and output
- Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, temperature, pressure) to maintain optimal production conditions
- Perform routine quality checks and inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Record production data and complete shift logs accurately
- Load raw materials and monitor material feed
- Follow all safety procedures and report any safety problems to the Production Manager immediately
- Commitment to our continuous improvement and safety initiatives
- Identify, label, weigh and dispose of scrap
- Clean and maintain machines and work area to ensure operational efficiency
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality control teams as needed
- Fulfill the role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instruction
- Identify and resolve basic machine malfunctions or deviations
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
- High school graduate, GED or equivalent
- 6 months of manufacturing experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. standing/walking 8 hours per day
- Ability to read and write English clearly and concisely
- Must have the capability to correctly identify the different materials and products
- Must be able to drive a forklift to move material and pipe
- Must be able to work with minimum direction after being trained

Physical Requirements
- Walking – frequently 4-5 hrs
- Standing – 2 hrs

- Lifting - up to 40# frequently
- Lifting – 50# to 75# with assisted apparatus (overhead crane/forklift)
