Extrusion Operator/Bagger - Part Time
About the role
The position is located at Shadow Plastics, a division of Rice Lake Weighing Systems. Hours are flexible part-time, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment
- Receive and follow through with work instructions
- Run bag machines and perform roll and bag packaging as required
- Make safe, efficient splices on all lines and assemble boxes as needed, including operating the core-cutter
- Maintain a neat and clean work area and segregate scrap to prevent contamination with reprocessing
- Work well in a team and individually to take care of extrusion lines, changeovers, wrapping, and banding pallets
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand work orders
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use basic hand tools, including utility knives
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Constant standing
- Frequent walking
- Occasional climbing (ladders and stairs)
- Ability to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts
Qualifications
This position requires on-site presence at our Rice Lake, Wisconsin facility.
