Extrusion Operator-1st Shift

About the role

Trystar is seeking an Extrusion Operator to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in our high-volume cable manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the extrusion line for manufacturing cable products while adhering to quality requirements.
• Able to understand and interact with Epicor for job orders.
• Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain and operate hand tools necessary for setup, disassembly, and operation of equipment.
• Perform quality control checks and inspections to ensure product meets specifications.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 3 years of experience in extrusion machinery or mechanical ability/aptitude to understand manufacturing equipment.
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds intermittently.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives in English.
• Basic computer skills and accurate data entry experience.
• Perform simple mathematics to interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc., and accurately track materials used during the manufacturing process, including scrap amounts.
• Frequent lifting, standing, bending, and reaching required.
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements to perform the job safely, including eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection.
