Extruder Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, start, operate, and monitor extrusion lines and related equipment.
• Adjust machine settings, including temperature, speed, and feed rates, to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Inspect finished product for quality, dimensions, and appearance using measuring tools and visual checks.
• Troubleshoot minor process or equipment issues and communicate larger concerns to supervision or maintenance.
• Complete production records, quality checks, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and housekeeping expectations.
• Support changeovers, material handling, and routine cleaning or preventive maintenance activities as needed.
• Work closely with team members, supervisors, and support departments to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or extrusion experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and resolve basic operating issues.
• The ability to read and follow production instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• An attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• A willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This position works in a manufacturing environment and requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.
• Team members may work around machinery, moving equipment, heat, and noise, and must follow all safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
