About the role

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of library clerical and technical work; and to perform related duties as assigned. Library Assistant I is the entry-level classification in the Library Assistant series. Incumbents perform more routine duties and work under close supervision.

• Perform a variety of library clerical and technical tasks
• Assist with routine library operations
• Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by coursework in library skills or related field
• Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying
• One (1) year of general office assistance work experience or completion of office skills training courses
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Pay

Range 36: $19.85 - $24.14/hour
.475% FTE in a five-step salary system
