Summary of Job Duties

The Extra Help/Fitness Center desk position in the fitness center will work with a variety of staff and students in the UA Little Rock Fitness Center. The position is vital to the success of everyday operations at the Donaghey Student Center. The assistant will gain a large amount of knowledge in understanding of daily operations, programming, and event planning of a large university student center. It offers the opportunity to grow as a student and professional.

Qualifications

• High School diploma;
• Must be able to work at least 15 hours per week (more hours may be required).

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure all members swipe for entry into the Fitness Center and verify eligibility;
• Greet visitors/students;
• Answer the phones;
• Assist callers with the information they seek regarding the Fitness Center;
• Print out Table/Door signs for events (as needed);
• Assist with other tasks as needed;
• Become familiar with the campus and the A-Z directory on the university website.

• Communicate and work well with staff and customers;
• Ability to work within a variety of departments and settings;
• Ability to perform light cleaning duties;
• Must be available to work some nights and weekends.
