Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responds and researches complex inquiries from customers that the department serves and clarifies or solves issues based on policies and procedures.
  • Composes complex correspondence and creates documentation/records.
  • Maintains a record of interactions and updates department leaders on client issues or trends that require improvements and suggests improvements.
  • Develops and updates department communication or records while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provides administrative support by accurately transcribing information or notes and performing data entry.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories:
  • College coursework in business administration, communications, public relations or a closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
  • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
  • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
  • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
  • Bachelor’s degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
  • Responsible work experience in customer services, public relations, office administration, business and financial operations, healthcare administration or other closely related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Skill in understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Knowledge of clerical and office procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheet software, managing files and records, designing forms, and managing inventory.
