Extra Care Team Manager
About the role
We are seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive leader to provide person-centered care and support to our services users. You will be based in vibrant, multi-cultural Brent and support with the operational management for three Extra Care services – Beechwood Court (Wembley), Tulsi House (Sudbury) and Harrod Court (Kingsbury). Clients that draw on care may have dementia, mental health needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and complex health needs. All three services focus on providing integrated, holistic care and support to older people with care and support needs. You will collaborate with the Social Services and other stakeholders to ensure that the highest care standards are met. You will ensure an empowering service which meets the needs of our clients and works with their families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support to services users
- Support operational management for three Extra Care services
- Collaborate with Social Services and other stakeholders to ensure highest care standards are met
- Ensure an empowering service that meets client needs and works with families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere
- Work at least two shifts per week on the rota working directly with clients
- Work weekends when required
- Provide support with dignified personal care and domestic tasks
- Support individuals to access work, education and social opportunities
- Embrace all aspects of the role including personal care and domestic tasks
Requirements
- Previous practitioner or management experience in services for older people, people with dementia and memory loss
- Warm, person-centered and respectful approach
- Ability to work in an empathic and holistic way to maintain client orientation and independence
- Flexible, energetic and reliable
- Willingness to embrace all aspects of the role including personal care and domestic tasks
- Must be located in and eligible to work within the UK (this post will not be open to Sponsorship under the UKVI scheme, and we cannot accept applicants with Skilled Worker Visas)
Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification ideally (e.g. Diploma in Social Work, RMN/RGN, NVQ 4/5) and/or a degree level or post-graduate qualification

Pay
Up to £40,000 per annum
Schedule
Full-Time. Whilst most hours will be delivered during week days, you will be expected to work on weekends when required.
