Extinguisher Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician at Shambaugh & Son L.P., a prominent contractor specializing in various industrial and commercial projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, and install portable fire extinguishers and suppression systems according to NFPA codes.
• Solicit new business for fire extinguisher and restaurant fire suppression inspections.
• Conduct timely inspections for existing clients while maintaining high-quality work standards.
• Work efficiently and organize tasks effectively.
• Maintain accurate and precise documentation daily.
• Be a self-motivated individual with minimal supervision needed.
• Show professional appearance and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Achieve a high standard of productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using personal computers and software like MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and database programs.
• Have a working knowledge of test equipment including multi-meters, digital analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters, and communication devices.
• Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Experience working in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
• Most work performed indoors; some site work conditions are similar to typical construction projects.
• Available for a full-time schedule with the possibility of overtime and weekend work.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

$20 - $25 per hour.
