The San Francisco Superior Court Criminal Division’s legal research department is accepting applications from law students interested in an externship for Fall, Spring, or Summer.
About the role
- Perform legal research assignments
- Draft memoranda regarding criminal law issues
- Work under the supervision of the Criminal Division’s staff attorneys and legal research attorneys
- Observe hearings at the Hall of Justice
Responsibilities
- Minimum 20 hours per week during the school year
- Minimum 30 hours per week during the Summer
Requirements
- Law student status
- 20 hour per week minimum commitment is required during the school year
- 30 hour per week minimum commitment is required during the Summer
Qualifications
- Submit cover letter
- Resume
- Writing sample
- Unofficial transcript
- Specify interest in Fall, Spring, or Summer externship and available hours per week
