Externship - Professional Services Veterinarian

About the role

Students work alongside the veterinary staff learning about the many tools Trans Ova Genetics has available in its advanced reproductive toolbox and general herd health care.

Responsibilities

• Learn about Trans Ova Genetics’ advanced reproductive tools and herd health care practices.
• Collaborate with Trans Ova’s skilled veterinary team members.
• Participate in on-site training provided through Trans Ova Genetics University.

Requirements

• Fourth year veterinarian student from an AVMA accredited school.
• Experience in bovine or small ruminant reproduction.
• Current career plans related to advanced reproductive technologies such as embryo transfer, in vivo flushing, or IVF.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record.
• Passionate about animal health and reproduction.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional details

• Externs are hosted at Trans Ova Genetics’ corporate headquarters in Sioux Center, IA.
• Travel expenses are not covered.
• Externships are not accepted between May 1 and July 31.
• At least one letter of recommendation is required.
