About the role
Magone & Company, P.C. is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our growing assurance team. This is an opportunity for a public accounting professional who is ready to take greater ownership of engagements, work closely with clients, mentor developing staff, and build a long-term career within a modern, growth-oriented CPA firm.
As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in managing audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion while serving as a trusted point of contact for clients and team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from initial planning through final delivery
- Coordinate engagement timelines, fieldwork, documentation, and client requests
- Prepare and review financial statements, workpapers, and supporting schedules
- Identify accounting, financial reporting, and internal control matters
- Communicate engagement progress and findings to clients and firm leadership
- Supervise, coach, and support staff accountants throughout engagements
- Help improve audit processes through technology, standardization, and efficient workflows
- Build strong client relationships by providing responsive and professional service
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4–6 years of progressive audit experience
- At least 2 years of recent public accounting experience
- Experience managing audit engagements from planning through completion
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement reporting
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior professionals
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Proficiency with audit software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office
- CPA license preferred or active progress toward certification
- Clear written and verbal communication skills

Pay
Salary range of $80,000–$100,000, based on experience.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule with client-site work as needed, in-office Tuesday through Thursday, and remote work Monday and Friday.
