About the role

Performs select patient care procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse, maintaining orderly units and assisting with patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with procedures, treatments, and documentation, including vital signs, specimen collection, and administering treatments like enemas and dressing changes.
• Monitor and record patient data such as glucose levels, fluid intake/output, and drainage tube functionality.
• Maintain clean and organized patient care areas, change beds, and prepare rooms for new admissions or discharge.
• Support patient feeding, transportation, and post-mortem care, including assisting with meals and transporting patients or bodies.
• Perform related duties and participate in educational activities to enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and teamwork skills.
