Position Summary
Walmart is hiring Landscape Technician Operators! You will keep landscapes attractive, clean, and well maintained by performing tasks such as mowing, trimming, and pruning year-round. You must enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions and engage in physical labor.
What you'll do:
- Landscaping: Mowing, trimming, and pruning year-round
- Grounds Maintenance: Cleaning parking lots, exterior buildings, and surrounding areas to maintain a clean environment
- Teamwork: Working as part of a team responsible for all aspects of landscaping and exterior cleaning/ground maintenance
- Safety: Adhering to safety standards and corporate policies while complying with local, federal, and state regulations
- Traveling: May be necessary to perform essential functions of the position
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
- Successfully complete and pass a driver’s road test for the combination truck and trailer
- Pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Obtain appropriate licensing and/or endorsements for operating the required vehicle
- Pass a DOT physical and secure medical certification at a minimum of a 90-day card
- No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three years
- No more than two moving violations in the last three years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle
- No serious traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last three years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle
Physical Activity
- Presents information to small or large groups and individuals
- Communicates effectively in person or by using telecommunications equipment
- Visually verifies information, often in small print
- Reads information, often in small print
- Creates documents, reports, etc., using a writing instrument or electronic device
- Enters and locates information on electronic device
- Safely operates a combination motor vehicle of 10,000 lbs to 26,000 lbs, requiring valid driver's license or certification
- Visually inspects equipment that will be operated daily during scope of work
- Absides by all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
