Job Description
Aid Extension faculty with scheduling, coordinating, and producing materials for various events such as workshops, symposia, conferences, and webinars. Assist with securing continuing education credits, managing event registrations, and processing financial documents.
Manage financial documents related to events, like receipts, invoices, and expense reimbursements. Coordinate with state agencies and associations to secure CEUs for event attendees. Assist with event attendee registration and Q&A, including using platforms like PEARS and EventBrite.
Facilitate Extension Online Learning by fielding questions from clientele, assisting with registrations, and administering courses. Collaborate with ENY Extension faculty to troubleshoot and answer student questions. Develop and update web-based educational resources and collaborate with ENY Communications Team to produce marketing materials and reports.
Expected Salary
$21.07 - 23.95 per hour; commensurate with education and experience
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, entomology, horticulture, or agricultural education and communication, or other agricultural science discipline (five years of experience may substitute)
- Five years of experience working in a similar role
- Knowledge of biological sciences, especially entomology terminology and methods
- Experience in science communication and customer service
- Experience with Cooperative Extension
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency with computer software and services including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, and other applications; Qualtrics; Canvas Learning Management System; EventBrite; Canva or Adobe programs; CRM software and platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
- Flexibility to adjust to changing work priorities and varied assignments
- Customer service-oriented with demonstrated ability to maintain effective work relationships
