Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education Teacher

About the role

The ESY Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction to students with special needs in a variety of settings within the school district.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique learning needs.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and related service providers to support student progress and development.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• A current Minnesota teaching license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience working with students with special educational needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using technology to support teaching and learning.
