About the Program

The BRIDGE program is a specialized, intensive program based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis that serves students on the Autism Spectrum. The program team includes a special education teacher, supporting instructional assistants, and consultation from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Speech and Language Pathologist, and Occupational Therapist.

Services provided to students include a combination of discrete trial training, supported inclusion, small group activities, and incidental teaching. The goal of the program is for students to increase their independent skills in all areas—academics, recreation, social, communication, self-care, motor, behavior regulation—as well as the generalization of these skills to new situations and environments.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students with autism and other special needs using evidence-based practices.
  • Design and implement behavioral management programs.
  • Develop and deliver strong academic curriculum tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including BCBA, SLP, and OT.

Requirements

  • Massachusetts Teaching Certification: Teacher of Moderate Special Needs or Teacher of Severe Disabilities.
  • Experience instructing students with autism and other special needs.
  • Background in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Strong curriculum and academic background.

Schedule

June 29th – August 6th, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM.
