Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Recognize and support the unique Catholic Mission of the School by speaking, acting, and instructing consistently with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Absorb and adhere to Catholic principles in both professional and personal life, demonstrating complete adherence to Catholic moral strictures.
- Participate in and plan school religious and service activities to help build the school’s faith community.
- Assist with supervision of parent helpers and ensure compliance with safe environment and other school requirements.
- Assist with playground supervision as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, help organize classroom learning and materials, and facilitate field trips to motivate student learning.
- Support a consistent disciplinary approach that promotes self-direction and positive self-image, and motivate learning.
- Maintain a functional and pleasant learning environment at all times.
- Demonstrate professional responsibility in all tasks assigned; display sound judgment in dress and general behavior.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to complete a background check and Protecting God's Children (PGC) class.
- Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
- Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter and be well-organized; must be a team player.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- The ability to assess needs and strategies, adapt appropriately in a school environment.
- The ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check.
- Professional bearing and clean and neat personal appearance.
- High School Graduate or GED.
