Le Jardin Academy is looking for Extended Day Aides. The role supports the Extended Day Teacher with the development of students, socially and emotionally, in a fun and safe recreational program during Afterschool and Summer Programs. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00pm- 5:15pm/6:00pm. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. No phone calls please. Please submit a resume and cover letter.
Job Description
Reports to: Enrichment and Extended Day Program Manager
Work Schedule: M-F 2:00 - 5:15/6p.m.
Consults with: Extended Day Teachers/Extended Day Manager
Position Summary
The role of Extended Day Aide will support the LJA mission statement and implementation of the summer and/or after school programs, model the school-wide Agreements and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile, exhibit courteous behavior and a sense of professionalism at all times, and demonstrate an enjoyment of working with children. As part of our Extended Day program, the role of Aide is to support the Extended Day Teacher with the development of our students, socially, and emotionally in alignment with a fun and safe recreational program during Afterschool and Summer Programs.
Responsibilities
Support the Extended Day Teacher with implementation of age appropriate lessons and recreational activities
Supports classroom management and established routines
Supports student learning during afterschool
Supports with supervision of students during instructional time, recess, and transitions
Communicate effectively with the team
Communicates to appropriate persons student behavior
Follow all school policies and procedures detailed in the Employee Handbook.
