About the Role

Abt Global is seeking U.S.-based consultants to join a roster of experts supporting current and future opportunities funded by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD). Consultants will support governments, local institutions, and implementing partners to strengthen their ability to sustainably plan, finance, manage, and deliver health services while advancing health security and resilience. Consultants should also have business development experience to support proposal development processes.

Qualifications

• An advanced degree in public health, medicine, epidemiology, health economics, health policy, international development, or a related discipline
• Extensive experience supporting donor-funded health programs in low- and middle-income countries
• Demonstrated experience working with ministries of health, ministries of finance, national public health institutions, local organizations, and development partners
• Expertise supporting sustainable, country-led approaches that strengthen local systems and institutional capacity

Skills

• Strong experience translating technical concepts into practical, measurable implementation strategies
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, communication, and technical writing skills
• Experience designing or implementing programs with a strong focus on accountability, performance, efficiency, and measurable outcomes
