Express Service Technician - Central Houston Nissan

Job Summary

An Express Service Technician performs routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, lubrication, and inspections, ensuring vehicle performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, lubrication and other tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state‑regulated vehicle examinations.
• Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
• Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Understanding of automotive systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools, including power tools.
• Willingness to learn with hands‑on training.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
• Ability to provide friendly customer service.

Education and Experience

• Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training preferred.
• Working knowledge of state inspection guidelines, particularly those concerning emissions and safety, is advantageous.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ASE certifications required.

Physical Requirements

• May lift objects that weigh up to 50 lb.
• Good hand‑eye coordination.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
