Express Chairlift Operator – Weekends & Holidays (Summer/Fall)

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests with a friendly, professional approach.
• Direct scenic riders and mountain bikers into the proper positions for safe loading and unloading.
• Aid mountain bikers in safely loading and unloading their downhill bikes using the chairlift’s bike carrier systems.
• Check tickets and wristbands to verify guest access and demonstrate knowledge of summer/fall ticket types.
• Understand and monitor the mechanical operations of the Express lift, promptly communicating any issues to supervisors or mountain operations staff.
• Maintain loading and unloading areas, ensuring they are clear of debris, safe, and easily accessible.
• Communicate effectively with Ticketing, Mountain Bike Patrol, and Mountain Adventure staff to support smooth resort operations.
• Accurately complete all required shift paperwork and perform related duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be reliable and available to work weekends and holidays during the summer and fall seasons.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in varying summer and autumn weather conditions.
• Ability to regularly lift 35–45 pounds (to assist with handling and loading mountain bikes).
• Strong communication skills, a guest-first attitude, and a focus on safety.
• Willingness to assist other staff and departments as required or needed.
• Comfortable lifting and handling mountain bikes to assist guests with loading.
• Punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work well with a variety of people.
