Duties And Responsibilities
- Closely monitor all ocean booking dates by utilizing IFP’s systems and shipping line websites to ensure all Automated Export System (AES) certificates, Verified Gross Mass (VGM), and shipping instructions are consistently filed by the due date/time.
- Implement a successful individual ocean booking tracking system with guidance from the Operations Manager
- Utilize ocean carrier websites to ensure dates provided by IFP systems are accurate. Report inaccurate information to the Operations Manager and IT immediately.
- Work closely with operations, suppliers, warehouses, and ports to ensure accurate information is provided and shipping instructions are filed accordingly. Delays or discrepancies should be reported to the Operations Manager immediately.
- Present shipping details information to the documentation group in an organized timely manner.
- Analyze and identify solutions to improve the overall process and present these proposed solutions to the Operations Manager.
- Work closely and establish effective communication between the operations and documentation groups through daily communication and discussions.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
