Explosives Technician

About the role

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking an Explosives Field Technician to work at various customer locations and join their safety-conscious team. This position involves setting up and assisting with water treatment systems, pipeline hydrostatic testing, and other responsibilities. The technician acts as a representative of HPC-Industrial, fostering continuous working relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure health and safety is the top priority by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining a safe work environment at all times;
  • Operate manual and automated Hydroblasting equipment;
  • Operate special equipment such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps;
  • Energize pumping equipment and specialized Hydroblasting and Chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks, and cutting equipment;
  • Examine surfaces cleaned to confirm compliance with company and customer standards;
  • Perform routine and required maintenance on units and peripherals, including industrial vacuuming equipment and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials;
  • Conduct routine maintenance on company equipment used on the job;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training, and essential experience from other jobs;
  • Language proficiency: understand English to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations;
  • Valid driver's license and comply with company's driving policy when using company vehicles or driving on company business;
  • OSHA certification may be required for this job;
  • Knowledgeable in operating emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers;
  • Valid TWIC required or must be able to obtain TWIC.

Pay

The posted salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this role. Final compensation may vary based on factors such as location, experience, skills, and business needs. In addition to the base salary, some roles may be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule

Travel 70-100% of the time is expected.
