About the Role
Serves as the Agronomy Intern under the direction of the Field Sales Agronomist, training and assisting with general agronomy functions.
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience in agronomy fieldwork.
- Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Participate in all phases of field crop research, demonstration, and training, including:
- Planning, planting, and treatment preparation.
- Application and equipment calibration.
- Field plot monitoring and maintenance.
- Signing, field events, and sample collection.
- Training material preparation.
- Harvest, data entry, and report generation.
- Coordinate communication with multi-site contacts, schedule field activities, and carry out projects.
- Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment.
- Follow GROWMARK's Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as applicable.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college, or university and in good academic standing at the time the internship begins.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training related to the position.
