Expert Targeting Analyst - Springfield, Virginia (APOGEE)

Responsibilities

• Develops targets and target systems for joint lethal and / or non lethal engagements.
• Develops target nominations, creates database records, and databases target intelligence products.
• Produces all-source analytic damage estimates and battle damage assessments and assists with combat assessment requirements.
• Conducts collateral damage estimation, performs target list management, target strategy development, and provides joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements.
• Provides recommendations for target prioritization to achieve commander objectives for plans and operations.
• Provides database nominations, creates and updates database and uploads TMs into databases.

Requirements

• MA or MS in Remote Sensing, Cartography, Geography, or related field AND 10 years CURRENT Intelligence Analysis experience;
• OR BA/BS degree in Remote Sensing, Cartography, Geography, or related field AND at least 15 years of Intelligence Analysis experience;
• OR HS diploma/GED AND Specialized Training with at least 20 years of Intelligence Analysis experience.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience should be in the field of remote sensing, Geospatial analysis, all-source analysis.
• Experience should include at least 5 years working supporting the Joint targeting cycle.
• Understanding of the Intelligence Cycle, Collection Management Cycle, Targeting Cycle, and supporting intelligence analytic techniques.
• Understanding of Intelligence Support /Role in the MDMP.
• Expert level research and writing skills.
• Expert knowledge of GEOINT software including RemoteView, SOCET GXP, DIEE, or ArcGIS.
• Experience with photogrammetric principles and techniques.
• Experience in overseeing and executing target development standard as defined in JP 3-60 and CJCSI 3370.01D.
• Training and expert knowledge in basic, intermediate, and advanced target development.

Desired Qualifications/Skills

• GPC-II Imagery Certification.
• Experience with commercial visualization software.
• Experience with MS Office suite of tools.
• Experience presenting at community forums and symposiums.
• Completion of related Army (or service equivalent) 35/350G, 12Y/125D, or 35F/350F military occupational specialty school.
