Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test mission applications
  • Understand technical and functional design requirements related to Ruby on Rails

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a technical discipline related to the specific skill, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training, or work experience
  • Minimum of 11 years related experience
  • Languages: Ruby, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JQuery, Ajax, JSON; Frontend design framework: Bootstrap; Frontend JavaScript frameworks: Angular.js JS; Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.); Database server: MySQL, some legacy Oracle; Experience with developing systems in Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with database management (i.e. MySQL)
  • Experience with open-source libraries (i.e. JavaScript, Angular.js, Backbone.js, and Bootstrap)
  • Experience with design, develop and test (integrated) of mission applications
  • Experience with design, develop and test (integrated) RESTful Web Services
  • Experience with design, develop and test (integrated) external libraries in multiple languages to interface with the APIs
  • Experience with design, develop and test (integrated) web service connectors
  • Knowledge of the Agile methodologies/sprints/process
  • Experience with using version control software, such as GitHub
  • Familiarity with FiDOS development provision process
  • Experience with AWS Stop/Start EC2 instances
  • Experience with managing S3 buckets
  • Familiarity with the Load Balancer, Network, and DNS processes
  • Advanced problem-solving skills

Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training, or work experience may be considered.

Skills

Proficient in CSS, HTML, JQuery, Ajax, JSON
