Expert Network Engineer (KEY-TE.Net-03.080626)

Security clearance: TS/SCI with both Polygraphs is required.

About the Role

Provides network support involving system-level design, architecture, or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure, packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls across all supported locations.

Responsibilities

• Physical installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices.
• Expert-level support including physical installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices (Cisco-based).
• System-level design and architecture of enterprise security, datacenter virtualization, and CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure.
• Expert security enterprise boundary and datacenter architecture and design.
• Create system diagrams and present high-level presentations to management.
• Use of packet capture software.

Technologies & Tools

• Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM.
• HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco switches, F5/Cisco load balancers.
• Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC).

Requirements

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.
• Bachelor’s degree + 10 years minimum experience, OR no degree + 15 years minimum experience, OR ten (10) years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection.
• Datacenter network design and architecture experience including installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
• Five (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
