About the role

Snorkel AI is a data development company spun out of the Stanford AI Lab, focused on improving the truthfulness and reasoning abilities of advanced AI systems. This ongoing project-based opportunity will allow you to help shape the next generation of AI models by designing challenging tasks, stress-testing AI agents, and providing expert feedback that steers model behavior toward ideal solutions. No prior AI experience is required.

We are looking for Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation experts with the ability to design and solve challenging, real-world reasoning tasks that test the limits of advanced AI systems. Contributors will create high-quality arts, entertainment, and recreation problems, develop rigorous solutions, and help identify where models fail in creative and commercial reasoning. The work is designed around real-world production difficulty, creative and commercial precision, and reproducible evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and solve challenging, real-world reasoning tasks in arts, entertainment, and recreation.
  • Create high-quality problems and develop rigorous, fully worked solutions.
  • Identify where AI models fail in creative and commercial reasoning.
  • Evaluate subtle errors in budgets, schedules, rights, or market claims and suggest more rigorous approaches.
  • Assess competing solution paths across multiple turns of a conversation.

Requirements

  • Deep fluency in Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation work, with the ability to create realistic, multi-step problems drawn from live production, programming, or talent management.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation sector as a producer, performer, or program manager.
  • Background in one or more of: producing and directing, music direction or composition, curation, choreography, agency or business management for artists, performers, and athletes, coaching and scouting, or set and exhibit design.
  • Strong review instincts to identify subtle errors and evaluate solution paths.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with production budgeting and scheduling, audience and box-office analytics, industry market reports, licensing and rights, or building decks that synthesize multiple sources with citations (bonus).

Schedule

Remote 1099 contractor role with no set hours commitment. Work independently from anywhere (must be eligible; cannot reside in California).

Pay

Compensation is per accepted task rather than an hourly rate, with payments up to $250 per completed task. Experts earn at least $15 per hour for work performed but have the opportunity to earn more based on productivity and quality.
