Experimental Machinist Level 2

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Fabricate prototype components and assemblies from initial design phase to full production.
• Coordinate complicated set-ups and operate both CNC and manual lathes.
• Operate standard machine shop equipment.
• Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' CNC lathe and mill experience.
• Knowledge of standard shop practices and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and demonstrate use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to write routine data on manufacturing routers and SPC charts.
• Demonstrate use of technical math (trigonometry, geometry) to solve standard manufacturing problems and basic calculations.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
