Summary
Provides career and experiential education advising and related services to support students in their career planning and job search.
Essential Job Functions
- Advises students on experiential education programs and collaborates with faculty to support seamless and quality experiences for students and employers
- Researches, approves and manages employer sites for experiential education opportunities for students
- Collaborates with employers and faculty in the evaluation of student performance and grades
- Meets with students to advise on various job search activities, such as self-assessment, career planning, networking, resume development and interviewing
- Responsible for actively engaging students and clubs and organizations to drive in-person and virtual student appointments
- Supports students searching for employment and internships as well as other related experiential programs
- Delivers student workshops on various career topics; teaches the career management course as needed
- Communicates with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, parents and university staff, to provide information on department programs and services
- Answers questions from various constituents in a professional and appropriate manner, following department and university guidelines for information sharing and efficient service
- Participates in various career events
- Maintains records and collects data per department guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Experience working in career services, experiential education or other related experience
Qualified candidates must live or relocate to live within a daily commuting distance of the Charlotte Campus location upon hire.
