Experienced Water Resources Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assisting the design team with preparation of roadway drainage and stormwater designs
• Performing hydrology and hydraulics design calculations for roadway/site drainage
• Performing design calculations for stormwater management and erosion and sediment control
• Performing hydrology and hydraulics calculations for bridge and culverts
• Coinciding with multiple utility owners, MDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies
• Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for projects
• Assisting with quantity take-offs and cost estimates for projects
• Preparing design computations and quantity estimates for projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil / environmental engineering from an accredited college or university
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in drainage and stormwater management designs
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Maryland PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date

Qualifications

• AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation software experience
• Ability to read engineering plans, contours, and drafting
• Utility coordination and design experience
• Municipal engineering design experience
