Responsibilities
- Assisting the design team with preparation of roadway drainage and stormwater designs
- Performing hydrology and hydraulics design calculations for roadway/site drainage
- Performing design calculations for stormwater management and erosion and sediment control
- Performing hydrology and hydraulics calculations for bridge and culverts
- Coinciding with multiple utility owners, MDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies
- Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for projects
- Assisting with quantity take-offs and cost estimates for projects
- Preparing design computations and quantity estimates for projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil / environmental engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in drainage and stormwater management designs
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Maryland PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date
Qualifications
- AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation software experience
- Ability to read engineering plans, contours, and drafting
- Utility coordination and design experience
- Municipal engineering design experience
