Experienced Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Aiding in surgery
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

Requirements

• 2+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
• Active, good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Texas preferred
• Proficiency in the following skills (preferred): Anesthetic monitoring, and recovery; Surgical assistance and aseptic technique; Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography; Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement; Radiology positioning and safety protocols; Medication administration and accurate drug calculations; Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications and skill set include:

• Experience in a general practice environment
• Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
• Technical skills in anesthesia, surgery, dental procedures, and laboratory work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule and Compensation

• Open to either Full-Time or Part-Time, with flexible availability needed Monday-Friday and rotating weekends
• Compensation: $18-24 per hour, for each hour worked
