About the role
VCA DeLand Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join their General Practice team in DeLand, FL.
Responsibilities
- Physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery
- Intubation, anesthesia and monitoring
- IV fluid administration and CRI calculations
- Hands-free radiology and diagnostic imaging
- Client communications and discharge
Requirements
Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience and be a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be positive, motivated, and able to contribute ideas and suggestions to help the hospital grow.
Skills
Knowledge of veterinary assistant duties, including physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery, as well as intubation, anesthesia and monitoring, IV fluid administration and CRI calculations, hands-free radiology and diagnostic imaging, client communications, and discharge.

$17 - $19 / hr based on skill set and experience.
