Experienced Traveling Telecommunications Tower Technician

Requirements

• Physically able to climb to heights in excess of 300 feet daily
• Able to work in all weather conditions year‑round
• Some construction and/or electrical experience
• Enjoy working with your hands
• Enjoy constant travel and willing to live life on the road

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Install, replace, and repair antenna system equipment
• Distribute, pick up, and organize tools and materials
• Install, modify, mount & platform
• Identify and fix problems using test equipment
• Work with a team
• Perform tower structure inspection
• Climb and work on communications towers to install, replace, repair antenna systems and perform tower maintenance under close supervision
• Use and care for hand tools and mechanical equipment
• Read site plans and tower drawings
• Recognize hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment

Qualifications

• Competent Climber/Rescuer
• Competent Rigger
• OSHA 10 & OSHA 30
• First Aid/AED/CPR
• RF Awareness
• Hazard Communications
• Bloodborne Pathogens
• Capstan Hoist/Base Mounted Hoist/Ginpole Principals
• Kaleus/Anritsu/Exfo Training

Pay

• $2000 Sign‑on bonus (paid out after 6 months of continuous employment)
• Overtime Pay
• Per diem $130/day

Schedule

6‑Week Travel rotations followed by a 7‑10 day break. (Travel expenses covered)
