Experienced Traveling Telecommunications Tower Technician
About the Role
Capital Tower & Communications, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Telecommunications Tower Technician to join our team. With over 30 years of experience, we are a leading provider of telecommunications services, specializing in tower installation, maintenance, and repair for diverse clients, including wireless carriers, government agencies, and private businesses.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Install, replace, and repair antenna system equipment
- Distribute, pick up, and organize tools and materials
- Install, modify, mount, and platform equipment
- Identify and fix problems using test equipment
- Work collaboratively with a team
- Perform tower structure inspections
- Climb and work on communications towers for installation, replacement, and repair purposes
- Perform basic tower maintenance under supervision
- Use and care for hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Read site plans and tower drawings
Requirements
- Physically able to climb heights exceeding 300 feet daily
- Willing to work in all weather conditions year-round
- Some construction and/or electrical experience
- Enjoy working with hands
- Willing to travel constantly, with 6-week travel rotations followed by 7-10 day breaks (travel expenses covered)
Qualifications

- Kaleus/Anritsu/Exfo Training
