What WE Ask Of YOU: Being a tower climber can be a very rewarding and worthwhile career, but it takes a unique skillset and even more of a unique personality. These are some physical and mental attributes that some of the most successful Tower Technicians have. You are physically able to climb to heights in excess of 300 feet dailyYou can work in all weather conditions year-roundYou have some construction and/or electrical experienceYou enjoy working with your handsYou enjoy constant travel and willing to live life on the road 6-Week Travel rotations followed by a 7-10 day break. (Travel expenses covered) Job Responsibilities: Follow all safety rules and regulationsInstall/replace/repair antenna system equipmentDistribute/pick-up/organize tools and materialsInstall/modify/mount & platformIdentify/fix problems using test equipmentWork with a teamPerform tower structure inspectionClimbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment performs tower maintenance under close supervision.The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.Distribute, pick up and organize tools and materials.Ability to read site plans and tower drawings.The hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.Training/CertificationsAt Capital Tower provide the very best services to our customers, so we want our employees to have the ability to be the very best at what they do.
